More than 30,000 misleading videos related to Covid-19 vaccination from World Health Organization (WHO) or health authorities such as the NHS have been recently removed from YouTube.
YouTube has banned misleading Covid-19 vaccine videos which include false claims that the vaccine kills people, causes infertility, or contains a secret microchip that will be implanted into recipients.
Even though YouTube and other social platforms have acted over harmful disinformation they are still struggling to find and delete such content.
During the early stages of the pandemic, YouTube used to be the home to many conspiracy theories about the disease and even false claims of non-existent "cures".
However, the committed activists who spread harmful anti-vaccine content online and videos of people who brandish medical credentials pose problems for a video platform such as YouTube.
