US Vice President Kamala Harris has held talks with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
They also discussed bilateral cooperation, global and regional challenges, climate change and China and Myanmar.
In a statement issued by US President's Office, two leaders stressed the need to enhance cooperation and strengthen ties.
"Vice President and Prime Minister discussed opportunities and possibilities for further cooperation, global and regional challenges, climate change, and many other issues, including China and Burma," said the statement.
They also discussed strong unity and further cooperation among Indo-Pacific region, said official.
"Vice President Harris and Prime Minister Morrison have agreed to work together to improve, strengthen ties with other partners and stakeholders, work together to revive the economy, and support each other as much as possible," said the statement.
Vice President Harris had earlier held talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron. Harris, who took over as vice president last January, has made efforts to improve and refresh foreign and diplomatic relations a priority.
