Germany signals tightening of partial lockdown by April

Stating that the number of different and complex cases of covid is increasing in Europe, officials have suggested that Germany tighten control measures by next month.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to tighten partial lockouts and implement control measures over the next two months, following suggestions from heads of state governments in various regions.

Officials in Germany said on Saturday and Sunday that they were preparing to shut down industry and businesses after a third wave of infections.

However, Merkel said she would meet with regional heads of government on Monday before making a final decision.

According to public figures released on Sunday, 103 people per 100,000 population in Germany have been infected in the past seven days.

Meanwhile, two other European countries, France and Poland, have also been partially shut down again. Coronavirus infection has resurfaced and a partial lockdown has been imposed.

Partial lockdowns have been imposed in 16 places in France, including the capital, Paris, as the risk of a third wave of epidemics increases. It has affected 21 million people.

In Poland, shops, hotels and centers for sports and cultural activities have been affected. Lockdown will be enforced across Poland for three weeks.
