Bustle of Mahashivaratri has increased in Pashupati temple premises.
Shivaratri, one of the main festivals of Hindus, is being celebrated on Thursday this year. Saints from different parts of Nepal as well as India have come to Pashupati temple premises for the festival.
It is customary for Pashupati Area Development Fund to bid farewell to saints after the completion of Shivaratri.
Similarly, Pashupati Area Development Fund has stated that all preparations have been completed for the devotees to enter the temple.
A special fair is also held in Pashupati area on the occasion of Shivaratri. This festival celebrated on the day of Phagun Krishna Chaturdashi, devotees flock to Shivalayas.
There is a religious belief that offering bel leaves on Shivalaya on this day, fasting and waking up at night will bring good deeds.
