US space agency NASA's spacecraft has landed on Mars seven months after taking off from Earth.
Seven months after being launched from the ground, spacecraft named 'Perseverance Rover' successfully landed on Mars this morning covering a distance of about half a billion kilometers, according to international media.
Making a successful landing on Mars was considered the biggest challenge. Scientists in NASA's control room were overjoyed when the spacecraft tweeted a picture of the spacecraft landing on Mars.
This is NASA's first mission since 1970 to search for signs of life on Mars. According to BBC, spacecraft will investigate a dilapidated pond on Mars and the absence of signs or activity of micro-organisms billions of years ago.
