Today His Holiness kyabje lama Zopa Rinpoche graciously made a medical visit. Rinpoche kindly blessed the patients and the staff members. Zopa Rinpoche first visited Karuna hospital. Later today Zopa Rinpoche visited Maya Daya Swasthya clinic.
Karuna hospital is situated in Chunikhel Marg, Budhanilkantha. Hospital is committed to care with dedicated, compassionate and skillful doctors and staff backed with state of the arts latest medical gadgets.
Karuna hospital has recently completed a month long free OPD campaign for the month of “Magh” on the occasion of solstice event of “Maghe Sankranti”. Lama Zopa Rinpoche is a Gelugpa lineage holder.
He has received teachings from many of the great Gelugpa masters. Lama Zopa Rinpoche is a devoted student of the Gelugpa and is open to every tradition.
Maya Daya Clinic is a humanitarian project by Yeshe Norbu O.N.L.U.S.Italian FPMT non-profit association, Yeshe Norbu Onlus has supported many important projects benefiting Tibetan refugees and children.
One among few is Hospital Clinic Maya Daya which is the only medical facility available for poor people in the area of Kopan in Kathmandu. It was created in 1992 by the Kopan Monastery, and is assisting both Tibetan and Nepalese people.
Despite the really high expenses which is hard to face, Maya Daya Clinic does its best to receive thousands of indigent nepalese people and tibetan refugees.Recently Maya Daya Swasthya clinic has received permission to run Hemodialysis service.
In the near future the clinic will be setting up a dialysis center for treatment of many patients.
