At least eight Taliban insurgents have been killed in an operation in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, says the military.
The army took action on Monday night on information that insurgents were hiding in Nahar-e-Saraj district of Helmand province. Eight fighters were killed on the spot in the air strikes.
Army has said it will take action whenever it sees armed rebel groups in the country. Taliban, which is active in Helmand province, has not commented.
