Warning of Sisdol residents to stop waste management

Residents of Sisdol have warned to stop garbage management if their demands are not met within 15 days.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday, Sisdol-Bancharedanda Garbage Management Concern Committee has warned to stop bringing garbage if 11-point demand is not met within 15 days from today.

Committee Coordinator Nawaraj Dhungana remarked that there has been a lot of terror for last 15 years.

Committee Coordinator Dhungana said that he was only given assurance while raising legitimate demands time and again and warned to stop bringing garbage if it is not fulfilled within 15 days.

At the press conference, Minister of State for Urban Development Rambir Manandhar stressed on the need to have new technology machines for waste management.

Manandhar stressed on the need for sustainable solution as waste management has always been a serious issue.

Committee has questioned government saying that people have been suffering from diseases and stench from the mound of garbage, which has polluted the environment, polluted human health, polluted land and river for 15 years.
