President Trump's account has been temporarily shut down by Twitter and Facebook after he began publishing material inciting his supporters to attack the US House of Representatives. Twitter has shut down Trump's account for 12 hours and Facebook for 24 hours for violating its violence policy.
Trump will not be able to post anything during that period. Meanwhile, videos and posts shared by Trump have been removed by Facebook and Twitter. Since President Trump's rejection of election results, Facebook has stepped up surveillance of his posts.
Curfew has been imposed in the US capital, Washington, D.C., following the death of a man in an attack by his supporters on the US House of Representatives.
