Three years ago, Saudi Arabia imposed a blockade on Qatar. Saudi Arabia has decided to lift sanctions on Qatar ahead of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, which will be attended by six Gulf states.
U.S. officials said an agreement on resolving the dispute between Saudi Arabia and Qatar will be signed at the conference.
Saudi Arabia has imposed air and ground blockades after neighboring countries accused Qatar of promoting terrorism. A ban was imposed in Business, politics and travel over Qatar.
He said the lifting of sanctions on Qatar took a long struggle and Kuwait had played a key role in lifting the sanctions.
