Nepal Mahayana Buddhist Manipa Sangh had organized one day of Phowa empowerment on 9th January. 

Most Venerable Fourth reincarnation Kyabje Lhatul Rinpoche bestowed required empowerment, transmission for practice of phowa i.e. transference of Consciousness.

This event took place at the monumental site of Asoka Stupa. Among four Asok Stupa surrounding Lalitpur from four directions, the event was held at the one in Lalitpur, Lagankhel.

Phowa is a tantric practitioner by which one is able to disconnect his connection to the physical body and goes to Buddha field. This practice is said to ensure no rebirth in the lower realm.

Phowa is known as a quick, direct path to enlightenment. It is traditionally thought in Tibet that even the greatest of sinners has a chance for enlightenment through the practice of Phowa. 

Interested once heartfeltly joined this teaching and transmission. No prior registration was required. Event started at 11 in Morning. Also, Ganachakra was performed at the end of the day.

Hundreds of disciples received the transmission and got the empowerment. Thereby getting permission for practicing Phowa.
