Dissolvement of the House of Representatives is unconstitutional: Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi

In a meeting of the National Assembly on Thursday, Rayamajhi said that the dissolution of the parliament was unconstitutional. Prime Minister Oli also accused the people who lost the election of mocking the constitution by making them ministers and expanding the cabinet.

Similarly, Rayamajhi also criticized Prime Minister Oli for speaking in such a way as to affect the case under consideration in the Supreme Court. Stating that the republic was not suitable because of Prime Minister Oli, he also accused Prime Minister Oli of encouraging the royalists.

Similarly, CPN-Oli faction leader Khim Lal Bhattarai said that the dissolution of the House of Representatives was not annihilation but an opportunity to go to the people for a fresh mandate. He said that this situation has come about as the government was not allowed to work from within the party.

In the meeting, National Assembly member Ram Narayan Bidari gave the example of different countries and said that there was an arrangement to dissolve the House of Representatives only if the Prime Minister could not get a vote of confidence in Nepal.

National Assembly member Vimala Poudel said that the slogan against the President had made all the women bow their heads and stressed on the need for an apology from the concerned parties.

Stating that the dissolution of the House of Representatives was unjustified, Samajwadi Party Nepal's Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav expressed confidence that the issue had reached the Constitutional Court and appropriate decision would be taken there.

The annual report of the Madhesi Commission was presented at the meeting. The third sitting of the winter session of the National Assembly will be held on Friday at 1 pm, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
