US President Joe Biden has begun to undo some of Donald Trump's key policies, hours after being sworn in. In his initial acts as the 46th US president, he signed 15 executive orders - the first to boost the federal response to the coronavirus crisis.
Orders reversed the Trump administration's stance on climate change and immigration. President Biden set to work at the Oval Office having been sworn in earlier on Wednesday at the US Capitol.
Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, President Biden said his top priorities now include the Corona vaccine, economic crisis and the climate change.
His first executive order mandates that all Americans must wear masks for prevention of corona virus, and that the Paris Climate Agreement is fully incorporated into the United States.
Executive orders are orders that do not require permission from the Parliament. He has so far signed 17 executive orders to implement his agenda and reverse Donald Trump's policy.
The new administration of the US says America is struggling with a declining economy due to the epidemic, so it is necessary for the president to take immediate actions.
