More than 100,000 people vaccinated against Covid 19 in Russia

In Russia, more than 100,000 people have been vaccinated against Russian-made Covid 19. Russia had already developed Sputnik vaccine against Covid 19 last August. Russia has said vaccine is effective. Russia introduced vaccine on August 11.

Russia is said to be the first country in the world to be vaccinated against Covid 19. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murasko has made announcement.

Murasko also said that Russia had made a video about vaccination of its citizens and that link had been provided to the United Nations.

Effectiveness of vaccine was investigated only last month. Research found that vaccine worked up to 92 percent. Number of people infected with Covid 19 has been increasing in Russia recently. According to the information received, more than 2.3 million people have been found infected with the virus.
