Moderna will seek permission on Monday to use Covid-19 vaccine in the United States and Europe

US pharmaceutical company Moderna, which is in the final stages of developing a vaccine against Covid-19, will seek permission to use vaccine in the United States and Europe on Monday, according to official company sources.

Moderna has sought permission to use vaccine, saying clinical trial of vaccine against Covid-19, which Moderna developed, was 94.1 percent effective.

Mauderna said on Monday it would seek approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use (EUA) and conditional marketing with European pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors.

Covid-19, which was first detected during treatment at a hospital in Wuhan, China, in December last year, has become an epidemic in all countries of the world within a year.

However, the United States, Brazil, Peru, Chile, and European countries, including Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Russia, are among countries most affected by COVID-19.

In South Asia, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are most affected countries, while Covid-19 has spread to all parts of the world, including Australia and Africa.

The United States is the country with the highest number of Covid-19 infections and deaths. In the United States, more than 13.7 million people have been infected with COVID-19 and 273,000 have died.

After the United States, most infected countries are India, Brazil, Russia, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy and Argentina.
