Four women's associations handed over a letter to Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota demanding reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives

On Thursday, All Nepal Women's Association (ANEMA), Samajwadi Mahila Sangh Nepal, All Nepal Women's Association and Vibekshil Saja Mahila handed over a letter to Speaker Sapkota demanding reinstatement of the House of Representatives.

Understanding the letter, Speaker Sapkota said that the parliament could not be dissolved in the current situation.

He said that he was consulting and discussing with all parties about the role he should play for the defense of the constitution.

He also assured that he would always be dedicated to the defense of the constitution and the maximum interest of the country and the people.

The four women's associations have demanded the reconstitution of the parliament saying that the constitution was dissolved using unimaginable circumstances and unjustified rights.

They have stated that failure to re-establish the House of Representatives would be against the constitution and the sentiments of the general Nepali people.

He pointed out that the possibility of any future prime minister repeatedly dissolving the House of Representatives to fulfill his personal interests would increase.
