Construction of 396 basic hospitals started at once across the country

 

Government has started construction of 396 basic hospitals across the country at a time.

Ministry of Health and Population has started construction of 396 basic hospitals with 5, 10 and 15 beds covering 753 local levels in seven provinces.

Foundation stone of 15-bed hospital has been laid in Bajrawarahi under Godavari Municipality of Lalitpur on Monday.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel laid the foundation stone of Bajrawari Chapagaun Hospital. On the occasion, Minister Poudel said that hospitals were being constructed across the country to guarantee basic health rights of people.

Finance Minister Poudel informed that construction of hospital has been started based on the demands and needs of local level.

Minister Poudel also clarified that there will be no shortage of budget in hospitals to be built across the country. As of Monday, foundation stone of more than three buildings has been laid.

Finance Minister Poudel informed that construction of hospitals will be started in other places soon by resolving technical problems.

Similarly, Minister Poudel claimed that current government will work smoothly for five years as it is a referendum government. Finance Minister Poudel said that present government has taken country on the path of development by fulfilling basic needs of people.

According to government's plan, there will be 86 in Province 1, 53 in Province 2, 51 in Province 3, 53 in Province 4, 57 in Province 5, 42 in Province 6, and 54 in Province 7. Total budget for construction of hospital building, which is targeted to be completed within this fiscal year, is Rs. 58 billion.
