Collective Resignation by Seven Ministers

Apart from Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Industry Minister Lekhraj Bhatta, seven other ministers of the Prachanda-Madhav faction have resigned after the dissolvement of the House of Representatives.

"We have resigned from the ministry, expressing serious disagreement with the move, which is unconstitutional, undemocratic, contrary to the mandate and against political stability," the joint resignation letter said.

Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Minister for Energy Barshaman Pun Ananta, Minister for Agriculture Ghanshyam Bhusal, Minister for Tourism Yogesh Bhattarai, Minister for Forests Shakti Basnet, Minister for Labor Rameshwar Rai Yadav and Minister for Drinking Water Veena Magar have resigned.
