The US economy grew 33.1 percent

The US economy has grown at an all-time high. Economy grew 33.1 percent in the third quarter of this year, according to Commerce Ministry.

This is the highest quarterly growth since 1947 when the quarterly growth figures became public. Economy had previously grown at a record high of 16.7 percent in 1950.

Despite record growth in the third quarter, lost economic output in the first six months of this year has not returned.

Economists fear that resurgence of corona virus will slow the growth rate sharply in current quarter and push GDP into negative territory in the first month of next year.
