Sports equipment provided to karate team preparing for Tokyo Olympics

Karate team, which is preparing for Tokyo Olympics, has been provided with sports equipment on Tuesday. Kelmi's shoes, tracksuit and bag were provided to three-member team including 2 players and 1 coach.

Nepali Congress Central Sports Department Secretary Min Krishna Maharjan and sponsors Binod Maharjan and Ravi Maharjan handed over materials to players Navin Rasaili and Anu Adhikari and coach Deepak Shrestha.

A total of 49,000 items including tracksuits and shoes were provided to the team. Similarly, Karate gold medalist Ravi handed over a bag worth Rs 15,000 during the 8th Dakshinkali Games.

In the program, coach Shrestha informed that efforts are being made to qualify in France in June and participate in karate leagues in Portugal, Cyprus and Morocco.

Coach Shrestha also informed that Nepal Karate Federation has made efforts to participate in the Asian Championship to be held in Kuwait.
