Directs government to submit details of government hospitals that do not have oxygen plants

Committee on Industry and Commerce and Labor and Consumer Affairs under House of Representatives has directed government to submit details of government hospitals that do not have oxygen plants.

Committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday directed government to send details of government hospitals across the country which do not have oxygen plants as some hospitals do not have oxygen plants even though oxygen is essential for corona treatment.

Meeting also demanded details of government hospitals that do not have ventilators, ICU plants and gas plants, said committee chairman Bimal Srivastava.

Meeting also directed to immediately repair oxygen plant of the hospital where oxygen plant was damaged. Meeting discussed with mayors of Kathmandu Valley about management of corona treatment.

During discussion, Bidya Sundar Shakya, chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, said that the issue of free food on open stage was in everyone's interest. Shakya said that more tightening should be done in the valley to control corona.

Similarly, Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality Sunil Prajapati said that corona infection is being treated easily in Bhaktapur even in the complicated condition of corona. Prajapati informed that infected people living in home isolation are also undergoing continuous health treatment.

During the meeting, lawmakers said that there should be easy treatment for corona infected patients. Lawmakers stressed the need to make arrangements for corona test report to come soon. Similarly, lawmakers said that citizens affected by corona should be managed from the ward.

Similarly, lawmakers said that funds deposited in Corona Treatment Fund should be mobilized properly.
