Ten security personnel have been killed in a clash between Pakistani police and Karachi police. Clash took place when army personnel arrested Sindh’s Police Officer Mohammad Aftab Anbar.
Five soldiers were killed in a double shootout. The incident took place in the wake of nationwide protests led by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). Police have arrested SafdarMa Awan, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who was participating in the rally.
PML-N spokesperson Maryam Nawaz and former Sindh governor Muhammad Zubair have accused Sindh’s police chief Mustaq Meher of being abducted by the army.
