Kushmanda Bhagwati being worshipped on the fourth day of Dashain

On the fourth day of Dashain, worship of Kushmanda Bhagwati is performed on Tuesday.

Mother Kushmanda is worshiped as a symbol of good deeds or creation. It is mentioned in the scriptures that Goddess Kushmada appeared to create the world by holding threefold heat in her womb.

It is said that Kushmanda Devi has the power to create heat and cold. These goddesses are mentioned in the scriptures as the mother of hot blood group, human, bird and cold blood group, fish and snake.

Goddess Kushmanda created the universe, created earth and ignited sun god by giving her heat energy, and also created other planets and operated the entire solar system.

The cosmic meaning of Kushmanda is Kubindo. It is customary to worship Kubindo as a symbol of Goddess Kushmanda in Dashain, a fruit that grows in the nature of hot climate but cools its inner qualities.

In Shakti Peetha and Devi temples, Kubindo is worshiped and sacrifices are offered.
