Facebook and Nepal’s WorldLink Communications to partner for Facebook’s Express WiFi use in Nepal

WorldLink Communications is partnering with Facebook to provide its Express WiFi service to Nepali customers. Worldlink is to disclose the agreement today.

Worldlink has been providing WiFi Hotspots in 10000 places nationwide. The agreement would allow Worldlink to use Facebook’s software at those Hotspots.

It has been hoped to improve the quality of the free Wifi services being provided in Nepal. The need to ask for an authentication password everytime to connect to the free wifi will be removed after this software is introduced.

This project is being implemented only in India in Asia and Nepal will be the second country in Asia. Facebook has already launched this in 7 African countries, 2 South East Asian countries, 2 South American and a North American country according to its website.
