At least 15 Afghans killed in stampede

At least 15 Afghans have been killed in a stampede near Pakistani consulate in Afghanistan.

Also, more than a dozen people have been injured. Thousands of people gathered at the stadium to get visas. Eleven women were killed in the incident.

However, a spokesman for the provincial governor, Ataullah Khogyani, said more than 10,000 people had arrived at Futkal Stadium to collect tokens.

Last week, Pakistani consulate started issuing visas after seven months. The international news agency Al Jazeera reported that many people may have gathered at the stadium due to rumors that Pakistani consulate may issue more visas than specified.

With the opening of the gate of the stadium, a large number of people started entering at once, which is why this incident has taken place. Pakistan's Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmed Khan has expressed sorrow over the incident.
