Two arrested with Fake notes worth more than 12 Lakhs in Bara

Police in Bara have arrested two persons with 12 lakh fake Nepali currency notes near the Baswariya canal in Simraungadh Municipality near the Indian border on Wednesday evening.

Police said that they found 1,216 counterfeit Nepali currency notes at the rate of Rs 1,000.

According to DSP Gautam Mishra, Bara Police Spokesperson, the note was found hidden in a red plastic bag inside a yellow bag.

Among the arrested are Baliram Chaudhary, 23, of Singhasani village in Baragadhi Municipality-5 and Sandeep Kumar, 27, of Jharokhar under Ghodasahan police station in Motihari district of Bihar, said police spokesperson Mishra.

Police team deployed on the basis of information that stolen mobile phones were being sold arrested them on Wednesday evening along with fake notes.

Police have also seized a motorcycle (Ba 64 Pa 9706) used by them. Spokesperson Mishra has informed that the note was given to the mobile buyers and they fled with 30 mobile phones.

According to the District Police Office, Bara, the two have been kept under district control and further investigation is underway.
