Government accused of corruption in the name of Corona: Sher Bahadur Deuba

President of the main opposition Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the government of corruption in the name of Corona.

Speaking at a virtual interaction program organized by the Congress Central Office on the occasion of BP's birth anniversary on Wednesday, Deuba accused the government of not extending the scope of PCR testing and not making adequate isolations despite the increase in corona infection.

Deuba also said that government had not acted as suggested by them in the prevention and control of corona. Similarly, Deuba clarified that dispute within the party was not present today and would not allow the leaders to leave the party like in the past. Deuba said that he was ready to hold a fair general convention.

Deuba expressed his commitment to hold the general convention on the basis of consensus even though it could not be held in the current situation.

Due to Corona pandemic, Congress has virtually celebrated 107th birth anniversary of BP Koirala this year. BP, who fought hard for the establishment and restoration of democracy in Nepal, was born on September 8, 1971.

BP Koirala has also made significant contributions in the field of Nepali literature. Koirala, pioneer of psychological realism in Nepali literature, has published one and a half dozen works. Koirala died of cancer on 6 July 2039 BS.
