27, including 7 Army Personnels Test Positive for Covid-19 in Saptari

Twenty-seven people, including seven Nepal Army personnel working in the Bhim Dal battalion in Rajbiraj, have been confirmed infected with coronavirus (Covid-19) in Saptari on Thursday evening.

According to the Health Office, Saptari, 26 people, including seven Nepal Army personnel, were tested at the laboratory of Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj.

The Nepal Army has been deployed in isolation in Rajbiraj Municipality, Tilathi Koiladi Municipality and Kanchanpur Municipality. There are 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36 year old men of Bhim Dal battalion in the infected Nepal Army.

Earlier, infection was confirmed in 38 Nepal Police and one Armed Forces personnel in Saptari but no infection was seen in the Nepal Army.

Similarly, 22, 35, 40, 50 year old men of Rajbiraj Municipality-1, 19 and 22 year old men of Ward No. 2, 40 year old women, 35 year old women of Ward No.

4, 33 year old men of Ward No. 6, Ward A 3-year-old man and a 38-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman of No. 7 have been found infected.

Similarly, 30-year-old men of Agnikrishna Sabaran Gaonpalika-6, 40- and 45-year-old men of Mahadeva Gaonpalika-5 and 25, 27 and 40-year-old men of Tirhut Gaonpalika-4 were found to be infected with corona, said Duniya Lal Yadav, Acting Chief of Health Office, Saptari.

A 50-year-old man who died in Dharan on Thursday has been diagnosed with the infection while another 55-year-old man had been undergoing treatment in Dharan since Bhadra 8 after being diagnosed with the infection.

The number of infected people in Saptari district has reached 850 including 130 women and 720 men so far. Eight people, including a woman, have died of the infection.
