Qatar has abolished the requirement for employees to obtain permission from employers to change jobs. This was announced on Sunday under Labor Reforms.
Qatar has been making a series of reforms to its labor system in recent days, following sharp criticism of the exploitation of migrant workers.
In addition, the basic monthly minimum wage has been set at 1,000 Qatari riyals (274 dollars 6 cents). The changes will take effect within the next six months, according to the Ministry of Labor according to agencies.
