Prohibition order extended in Kathmandu Valley till 17 Bhadra

Ban has been extended in the Kathmandu Valley for one week.

The administration offices in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have decided to add the ban after discussions with the security chiefs of the valley, the mayor of the municipality and officials of the public health office. Earlier, a restraining order was issued in the Kathmandu Valley from midnight on 3 Bhadra to midnight on Wednesday.

According to the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, it has been decided to add a restraining order till 17 Bhadra as the infection rate in the Kathmandu Valley is on the rise. The administration has stated that they will not be allowed to go out except for the purchase of medicines, food items and essential items during the ban.

Similarly, masks have been made mandatory while going out for urgent work and transportation of essential items, information and communication, operation of vehicles other than health workers and security agencies has been banned.

Arrangements have been made for the banks and other agencies to provide services by keeping the minimum number of employees and following the standards of health security, while the operation of hotels, restaurants and sidewalk shops has also been completely banned.

Similarly, regular service has been provided to the employees who go to the office from 9 am to 10:30 am and from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.
