Chief of District Health Office Manang infected with Covid-19 - Hospital Sealed

The Chief of District Health Office, MAnang has contracted coronavirus. The district hospital has been sealed after he was found infected.

After the health chief was found infected, all except the emergency services of the district hospital were closed for contact tracing, medical officer Santosh Adhikari informed. Apart from him, another person has also been confirmed infected on Tuesday.

Chief District Officer Dhruv Giri informed that the infection has also been confirmed in a teacher working in Pisang Basic School of Manang Ngisyang Village Municipality, Bharatpur-16. A press release issued by the Gandaki Provincial Health Directorate said that a 49-year-old and a 51-year-old man from Manang had contracted corona.

According to Medical Officer Dr. Adhikari, both the infected people entered Manang on July 6. So far, the number of infected people in Manang has reached five. One of them has recovered.
