Remove obstacles for manpower renewal

Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Rameshwar Ray Yadav has said that the proposal to remove obstacles for manpower renewal has been put forward.

At a meeting of the Committee on Industry, Commerce and Labor and Consumer Interests under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Friday, Minister Yadav said that arrangements would be made for renewal for one fiscal year as the business was stalled.

Article 13 (2) added to the Foreign Employment Act 2064 to amend some Nepali Acts 2075 provided that the manpower that could not send 100 workers in the last two fiscal years would be automatically revoked, but the government will revoke the permit saying that the manpower sector is also in trouble due to Corona.

It has been decided to amend the Foreign Employment Act 2064 to remove the provision. Minister Yadav said that the law has already been made regarding the renewal and added that the necessary decision would be taken based on the law.

Similarly, he said that the nomination of Kailash Khadka as a member of the Foreign Employment Board was legal. Kailash Khadka said that he was appointed as an expert as he was on the record of the ministry and had received a clean chit from the court.
