Relief to Sindhupalchok Jambu landslide family

Nepali Congress (NC) has distributed relief materials to 73 flood and landslide affected families in Barhabise Municipality of Sindhupalchowk. Food has been distributed to 73 families who lost everything due to the floods.

Local Congress leader Mohan Basnet informed that the food grains including rice, pulses, chickpeas and lentils were distributed to 34 families in Jambu and 39 families in Khagdal, Sirise, Tar and Rumta.

After the houses of the flood victims were washed away by the Bhotekoshi and Yankee rivers, they were facing problems of living. In addition, the Nepali Congress has provided cash relief to the families of those who lost their relatives in the floods and landslides.

Nepali Congress central member and former minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet and regional president Bal Krishna Basnet distributed cash at the rate of Rs 7,000 per household to seven families of the dead and missing in Barhabise-5 Jambu and food aid along with Rs 2,000 to 27 flood-affected families.

Twenty people are still missing and three bodies have been found in the floods in the Bulkote River in Bhotekoshi and the Yankee River in Jambu in Barhabise.
