‘Enough is Enough’ campaign protesters held from Baluwatar

Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. The 'Enough is Enough' campaign has protested against the government's negligence, corruption and inadequate PCR testing in corona prevention. Police have arrested the youths from Baluwatar and Bhatbhateni areas.

Police have arrested more than 50 people including Ranju Darshaja, Sudan Gurung, Alok Subedi, Sudhan Manandhar, Shashi Vikram Karki, Vritant Khanal, Saurabh Neupane and Pawan Thapal.

Campaign member Alok Subedi said that they were arrested while walking on the road. Kathmandu Police Campus Chief SSP Shyamlal Gyawali, however, said that the protesters were arrested after they broke through a restricted area in Baluwatar.

The members of the campaign are also on strike against the negligence of the government. Police had also arrested the campaigners who had reached Singha Durbar to file a petition regarding the right to information.
