Landslides at 5 am today at Charkilo and ChorKhola at Ichhyakamana Gaupalika-6 have blocked the Mugling-Narayanghat road.
Charkilo of this road section is always vulnerable to landslides and landslides here have interrupted the vehicular flow many times. District Traffic Police Head DayaKrishna Bhatta informed that they were having difficulty in removing the debris as the landslide was continuously falling. However, police are putting their effort into opening the road.
Communication Officer of Mugling- Narayanghat Road Project, Shiv Khanal informed that this particular section is vulnerable to landslides due to the weak soil structure and the risk of falling rocks. He added that it might take the whole day to clear the debris and open the road.
The District Administration Office has urged everyone to take caution.
