Everybody wants to have a clear skin to feel more confident and appealing in today’s world. People with oily skin face more problems and issues than with other skin types. Here are few tips for making your oily skin free of spots and acne with ingredients available at home.

KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE - Understanding your skin type is the most crucial thing before treating with remedies. The categories can be summed up in three types in general; oily, dry and sensitive. As the skin types changes with your age knowing your skin type is confusing; sometimes the skin type of your chin and cheeks may be different so you have to be more careful before applying any remedies to your beautiful skin. Here we are talking about the oily skin not for combination skin. So, what’s oily skin is?
Oily skin - The skin which becomes oily and greasy due to high production of oil through active sebaceous glands making your skin more prone to acne, pimples, clogged pores and blackheads. It is difficult to balance oily skin. There are many products which claims to minimize sebum secretion but they only make the problem worse. So, home ingredients can make wonders and eliminate excess of oil.
· WATER -Wash your face with plain cold water, when you can without using any soaps or face wash. Don’t be harsh with your skin. Go natural!Clean your face from tissue paper, don’t rub the paper rather pat on the area where you feel more oil and greasy.
· Tomatoes -Tomatoes contain salicylic acid, which help absorb excess skin oils and unclog pores. Make an exfoliating tomato mask by combining a teaspoon sugar with the pulp of 1 tomato. Apply to the skin in a circular motion. Leave the mask on for 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
· Honey -Honey is preferred as one of the best natural ingredients for skin remedies because of its antibacterial and antiseptic abilities, which benefit oily and acne-prone skin. Apply a thin layer of raw honey, onto your face; for about 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly with warm water once it gets dried.
· Aloevera - You can use aloevera to treat your oily skin. Apply a thin layer to your face before bedtime and leave it on until morning. Try it on small surface at first if you feel itchy or any other reaction so not use it.
· Oatmeal - You can use oatmeal on your face, isn’t it surprising? Oatmeal can absorb excess oil and helps exfoliate dead skin. It can be used in facial masks after grinding and mixing with yogurt, honey, or mashed fruit such as bananas, apples, or papaya. Take 1/2 cup oats with hot water to form a paste stir it with a tablespoon of honey. Thoroughly massage the oatmeal mixture rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Pamper your skin through natural ingredients in this lockdown and avoid using any oil-based product, cut off oily foods, fried foods, processed food and foods high in sugar. Many people state that they find home remedies work for oily skin. Home remedies can work as magic if you use the quality ingredients which really suits to your skin use.
