The Muslim community is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today

According to the Arabic calendar Hijri Samvat, on the first day of the tenth month, the Muslim community celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr by offering special prayers and receiving blessings from seniors.

After reciting special prayers, for three days people go to the place where there are older to get blessings and those who are younger than them are blessed. It is customary to give sevai, dates and other sweet foods to the relatives who come to seek blessings.

The festival is called Eid-ul-Fitr as it is happily donated to the poor. According to the Arabic calendar, Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated on the last day of the ninth month when the moon appears.

Another notable aspect of this festival is giving to the poor. Due to the Corona epidemic this year, Nawaz was not allowed to study at the Jama Masjid in Ghantaghar.

Since no more than five people are present at mosques, religious places including mosques, it has been requested to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr by reciting Namaz among the family members at home.

On the occasion of this festival, the government has given a public holiday on Monday.
