At least 97 people were killed during the plane crash in pakistan
On Friday an Airbus A320, PK 8303 was flying from Lahore to Karachi with 99 people on board crash-landed in mid-afternoon while trying for a second landing attempt but failed and crashed into densely populated residential area.
Only two passengers survived the crash onboard, but no fatalities were reported in the densely populated residential area where the plane crashed.
“The black box had been found late yesterday, we are handing it over to the inquiry board,” PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan said.
The black box included both the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder he said.
The airline’s chief executive, Arshad Malik, said on Friday the last message from the pilot reveals there was a technical problem.
Senior civil aviation official told it appeared the plane had been unable to lower its landing gear in the first attempt.
According to the recording posted on liveatc.net, a respected aviation monitoring website, the pilot told air traffic controllers that he had lost power from both engines.
The provincial health minister’s gave a statement on Saturday; stating no confirmed deaths on the ground and the death of 97 on board.
Army and civil administration personnel are helping out 25 house residents whose house were affected and poorly damaged due to crash-landing.
