Nepali Women's Association of Nepali Congress demands investigation and action against the culprits

The Nepal Women's Association, a sister organization of the Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has strongly condemned the incident in Chaurajahari Municipality-8 of Rukum West and demanded a thorough investigation and action against the culprits.

Speaking at a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the association said that the incident was very tragic and inhumane not only for the Dalit community but also for the entire human community.

Expressing heartfelt condolences to all those who died in the incident, the association also demanded that the missing persons be searched as soon as possible.

At the same time, the union has demanded the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee without taking the incident as normal.

At the press conference, General Secretary of the Association Dhana Khatiwada demanded that the incident should be investigated impartially and all the culprits should be brought to justice under the Nepal Criminal Code-2074 BS and the untouchability and Discrimination Offenses Act-2068 BS.

Nawaraj BK and Ganesh Badha of Jajarkot Bheri Municipality-4 and Tikaram Nepali of Chaurjahari Municipality-8 were killed after the villagers attacked the youths who had gone to Chaurjahari to marry their girlfriends.
