Youth and Student Organisations submit letter to Foreign Minister
Youth and Student organisations affiliated to the ruling Nepal Communist Party have demanded that Nepal’s borders be secured by a barbed wire fence.
Submitting a letter to Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyanwali in Singhadurbar on Sunday, both the organisations urged the government to construct barbed wire fences and deploy security personnels in the border areas.
They also demanded that the government take necessary steps to solve the border issues by taking decisive attempts from high-level discussions.
Coordinator for National Youth Association, Ram Prashad Sapkota(Dipsikha), informed that they had demanded that the government take necessary steps to scrap the map issued by India including Nepali territory and halt the construction of the road being constructed there.
Receiving the letter, Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyanwali informed that the government was taking necessary diplomatic steps to solve the problem.
He also reiterated that the government had taken this issue seriously.
