Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he will not rush to join the government. At a women's gathering organized by Congress Women's Department, Deuba said that he would not rush into the government as people had given him a mandate to stay in the opposition.
Deuba said that discussions are underway with other parties to save democracy. Deuba said that their agenda could not be established due to their small number in the parliament. Deuba said that all parties should move forward together to establish a lasting democracy.
Deuba said that Congress was focusing on preventing democracy from weakening in the country.
Stating that participation of women is very important in the transformation of Nepal, Deuba expressed the commitment of Congress to always fight for the issue of women's rights.
In the program, other leaders of Nepali Congress said that time has come for Congress to play a leading role in safeguarding democracy and giving a way out to the country.
