Prime Minister launches National Campaign for Farmers List

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has launched National Campaign for Farmers Listing.

Prime Minister Oli launched the campaign at a program organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Inaugurating the farmer listing management system, Prime Minister Oli said that agricultural sector has now entered to the modern sector.

Stating that everyone would know which farmers should be assisted through this system, Prime Minister Oli said that government would now conduct training in districts for the development of business skills and help in opening agro-based industries.

Stating that farmers should be encouraged to produce on a large scale without being displaced from agricultural profession, Prime Minister Oli said that farmers should be involved in collective farming system.

Prime Minister Oli said that subsidy given in agricultural sector should not be given in cash but when subsidy should be given.

Stating that Nepal has been making efforts to modernize Nepali agricultural system, Prime Minister Oli said that support of helping hands would not be wasted.

European Union has provided assistance for the operation of farmer listing management system program.

Ministry has stated that technology of storing data based on electronic technology has been developed to identify farmers by managing the information and details of farmers in an integrated manner through this system.
