Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has made it clear that he is not in the race to become the Prime Minister.
Deuba said this while inaugurating the 13th annual general assembly of BP Smriti Community Hospital on Saturday. Deuba also said that the main opposition party was in a hurry to lead the government as there was a possibility of becoming prime minister.
Deuba says there is no attempt to join government right now. Stating that Poudel, a senior leader of his own party, was most worried about becoming prime minister, Deuba claimed that he was not interested in becoming prime minister. Deuba scoffed at Poudel, saying he had failed to win PM's job 18 times.
Similarly, senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel stressed on the need for Congress to focus on ending current political stalemate rather than leading current government.
General Minister Dr. Shashank Koirala stressed on the need to conclude Congress General Convention on time.
