Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has held a group discussion with the chairpersons of committee to make parliamentary committee effective and status of various bills.
After the re-establishment of House of Representatives at Singha Durbar on Sunday, chairpersons of the committee informed that discussions were held to effectively move parliament and parliamentary activities forward.
Chairman of State Management Committee Shashi Shrestha informed that bills in the committee and efforts made to make government accountable to the parliament were also discussed.
Shrestha said that chairpersons of the committee have also discussed the issue of jurisdiction and how to organize the joint meeting of the committee.
Shrestha informed that a discussion was held on how to make a law that would establish the ownership of people during the process of making law.
More than 50 bills, treaties, ordinances and agreements are stuck in various committees of federal parliament.
