Celebrating Army Day by organizing a special program in Tudikhel

Nepal Army has organized a special program in Tudikhel on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and Army Day.

In the presence of President Bidhyadevi Bhandari, army celebrated Maha Shivaratri and Army Day at Sainik Manch Tundikhel.

On the occasion, President Bhandari laid a wreath at Military Memorial at Sainik Manch and took salute from Nepal Army.

During the ceremony, army had extended Mahashivaratri with rifles and cannons. Waves, gatherings, hexagonal denials and Army Day-2077 figures were presented under the increase parade.

Similarly, various arts, dances and music tunes reflecting military and Nepali traditional costumes were performed and some military skills reflecting professionalism of Nepal Army were also presented.

On the occasion, banners and helicopters of Directorate General of Military Aviation were also displayed. A band display was also presented by the military band on the occasion of Army Day. Variety of vehicles, equipment and weapons used by Nepal Army were also on display at the ceremony.

At the same function, dances and tableaus reflecting costumes and culture of all the provinces of country were also presented.

President Bhandari released annual magazine 'Sepahi' published by Nepal Army, Military Public Relations Directorate and awarded prizes and certificates to the first and second place winners in various art competitions.

Ceremony was attended by Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Speaker Agni Sapkota.

 Nepal Army has been celebrating Mahashivaratri as Army Day since 2047 BS.
