National football team member and midfielder Bishal Rai has signed with franchise team Dhangadhi FC as a marquee player.
Nepal Super League (NSL) franchise team Dhangadhi on Monday signed Bishal as a marquee player. On Monday, Dhangadhi team owner Subash Bahadur Shahi and Bishal signed the agreement.
Speaking after being appointed as a marquee player of Dhangadhi, Bishal said that the goal of the team is to lift the title. Bishal said that he was happy to be a marquee player of the team and would play to win.
27-year-old midfielder made his national team debut on August 31, 2015. Bishal has scored 3 goals in 19 games for Nepal.
Seven franchise teams are participating in the first hybrid league organized by Nepal Sports Management.
Along with Dhangadhi, Biratnagar City Football Club, Kathmandu Razors Football Club, Lalitpur City Football Club, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders and Butwal Lumbini FC are in the league.
The league, which will be held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, will be held from 24 April to 8 May.
