The monks of Sakya College, India started White Mahakala Wealth Invoking Ritual. Three days long ritual will conclude on Sunday, 21st February 2021 with a Fire Puja.
White Mahakala, a wrathful deity, is considered to be the fierce and powerful emanation of bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara.
He is a tutelary Dharmapalas in Vajrayana Buddhism who defend the Dharma from corruption and degeneration and from forces hostile to it.
He reminds us to keep the site of the ritual free from impure thoughts and actions. Mahakala guides and protects the individual practitioner from all kinds of deception and delusion.
White Mahakala can remove obstacles and grant protection to the serious dharma practitioner.White Mahakala is the special Wealth Deity of the Sakya Tradition.
This puja helps to accumulate merits and assist the dharma practitioner to gain the necessary wealth to accomplish his spiritual practices.
This puja bestows the power to overcome life struggles and to eliminate obstacles and impediment that hinders.
The Six-armed Mahakala is also favored by the Gelug School. Ultimate benefit is to attain Enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Temporal benefit of this puja is removal of obstacles, accumulate merits, gain wealth and receive blessings from White Mahakala.
On third Increasing Fire Puja will be conducted in the college. The Sakya College is an institute of traditional Buddhist philosophical and scriptural studies.
Established in 1972, Sakya College is the oldest school of its kind among the Tibetans in India and Nepal. Fire Puja is aimed to be completed by 12 in Noon, Delhi time.
