Karim Benzema and Tony Cruz scored a goal each to give Real win at home.
Benzema scored in 12th minute to give Real the lead. Cruz scored in 42nd minute to give Real a 2-0 victory. Real, which has risen to the second position, has 49 points. Valencia is in 12th place with 24 points.
