Nepal-India border security meeting concluded

Nepal-India District Level Border Security Coordinating Committee meeting concluded on Thursday.

According to Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Baitadi, two sides agreed to exchange information on maintaining cross-border border crime and smuggling of illegal arms and ammunition and maintaining law and order.

According to him, two countries have agreed to coordinate for crime control at the border, exchange information before and during disasters, control revenue leakage, and check at health desks while crossing the border.

On behalf of Nepal, Baitadi Pranau Officer, Baitadi Chief of Armed Police Ganesh Shah, representatives of Customs Office and on behalf of India, Vice Commander of Indian Border Security Force RK Rajeshwari, representatives of Indian Police and representatives of Customs Office were present.

Earlier, it was decided that meeting of coordination committee would be held every three months in February last year, but Corona convened the meeting after one year.
