Foundation stone of Shri Kanti Bhairav ​​Secondary School building

Foundation stone of the school building of Shree Kanti Bhairav ​​Secondary School in Kageshwari, Kathmandu, which will be reconstructed with the grant assistance of the Government of India, has been laid.

Chief Executive Officer of National Reconstruction Authority Sushil Gyawali and Deputy Chief of Mission of Indian Embassy Namgya Khampa jointly laid the foundation stone.

The model school to be rebuilt in Thali, Kageshwari Municipality-5 is the largest budget school to be rebuilt with Indian grant assistance. Apart from VAT, contract agreement has been signed for Rs 265.86 million.

After laying the foundation stone, Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyawali expressed happiness over the construction of a model building with a design that reflects Nepali architecture and expressed confidence that the school would also be a model in terms of educational quality.

Five-storey model school, which is being reconstructed with furniture and laboratory facilities, will have a total of 60 rooms.

According to school teacher Bishnu Prasad Poudel, about 900 students are studying in the school.

Construction company Yogi Hanuman JV has committed to complete the construction in one year even though the construction period is 15 months.
